How many rides can I take with the included 5€?
The 5€ credit (approx. 250 TL at current rates) allows you to take about 7 standard rides on the metro, tram, or bus. The cost per ride varies slightly depending on the mode of transport and transfers.
Where can I pick up my card?
When ordering, you have the choice:
1. Airport (IST or SAW): An agent will wait for you at the arrivals hall with a sign with your name.
2. Hotel: We leave the card at your hotel reception before your arrival.
Can I use one card for 2 people?
Yes, absolutely! The Istanbul Kart is not personal. You can "tap" the card several times in a row at the gate to let in up to 4 people. It's very convenient for couples and families.
How do I top up the card once I'm there?
It's very simple. There are yellow automatic machines ("Biletmatik") at almost every stop. Place the card, insert banknotes (Turkish Lira), and the credit is added instantly.
What should I do with the card at the end of my stay?
The card is provided to you for the duration of your stay. Before your departure, we will arrange a handover together (at the airport or hotel) to return the card.
